Bloganuray prompt: What is something you want to achieve this year?
This year for me, is all about health and wellness. I have weight loss goals that are likely to be helped through diet (starting Keto today) and exercise. The latter ties directly to my mental wellness as I have become far too sedentary, and as such, my creative juices have not been as fluid as I would like. Once these two lifestyle changes are underway, photography will be my main focus.
Photo goals
This year I am hoping to photograph a few different events and locations. Here is my shortlist
- One, but hopefully two airshows
- New River Gorge
- Eagles at Conowingo
- If I can find one, an unlimited hydroplane race
Travel
In addition to the locations on the photography list, we hope to head to Maine again this year. We will be going to Waldoboro for sure and the surrounding coastal areas.
If all goes well we will take a trip to the Serpent Mound in Ohio.
On the Web
WordPress will continue to be my focus as I learn more about coding PHP and building blocks using Pinegrow. A complete year in the area would mean creating all the blocks to support the US Web Design System.
Lastly, this year hopes to see the launch of department.va.gov. A WordPress site that will serve as the corporate home of VA. Phase one is simply getting it launched, phase two will be making it more useful, and phase three will be transitioning it to the block editor.

Taken in October 2012 while visiting Ogunquit, Maine. This is the Nubble Light located in York, Maine. After seeing pictures of this lighthouse, it became a necessary destination, and the Kelby Worldwide Photowalk provided the opportunity. We ended up not participating in the walk due to the temperature but went out on our own.
