This August has been a quiet one with no travel,  so I have been forced to limit my photography to my yard. This has not been uninteresting, but just not as exciting as the Maine coast or Grand Canyon.

Hummingbirds are always my favorite and most challenging. It is easy to get them at the feeder, but more often than not, that is just boring. Fortunately, our Rose of Sharon has decided to bloom again giving the hummingbirds and bees something else to draw from. Here are a few favorites from the past week.
